Sushi is a popular dish all over the world. Many appreciate it for its mixed flavors while others consume it for its high levels of vitamins, minerals, and omega-3 fatty acids. It’s perfectly safe for people of all ages to consume well-cooked sushi varieties (such as those with smoked salmon or cooked shrimp) but it’s definitely not safe for seniors to consume raw types of sushi such as sashimi, as these may be breeding grounds for bacteria that can cause food poisoning and other health complications for seniors.
