Caramel apples

Caramel apples are one of Halloween’s delights. The recipe is easy to make and perfect for those in love with gooey caramel. You will need wooden craft sticks (how many is up to you, but the caramel apples will turn out so good, that you’ll need at least 6).

  • ⅓ cup of packed light brown sugar
  • ¼ cup of agave nectar
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • ⅛ teaspoon of salt
  • 3 tablespoons of unsalted nuts (peanuts or pecans)
  • 6 apples

Time for preparation: 15 minutes

Ready in: 45 minutes


Candy corn granola bars

Another easy and fun to make recipe is candy corn granola bars. What’s even better is that it does not require any baking and can be made from leftover Halloween candy (no additional budget required).

You get a reinterpreted fall candy recipe but sugar-free and much healthier than its classic version.

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1/4 cup of honey
  • 2½ cups old fashioned rolled oats
  • ½ cup of roasted peanuts
  • ¼ cup of butter
  • ⅓ cup of brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 cup of Candy Corn
  • ¾ cup of pretzels (small pieces)
  • ¼ teaspoon of salt

Pumpkin pie

There’s no Halloween without the delicious pumpkin pie! You can make it a little spicy or salty, but the result will make you wanna lick your fingers. If you want a tender, flaky crust and delicious pumpkin filling then you will need the following:

  • Pastry dough
  • 1 cup and 2 tablespoons of flour
  • ¼ teaspoon of salt
  • 6 tablespoons of unsalted butter
  • 3 tablespoons of ice water
For the filling:
  • 3 eggs
  • ½ cup of light brown sugar
  • 11/3 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • ¾ teaspoon of ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon of nutmeg
  • ⅛ teaspoon of cloves
  • ⅛ teaspoon of allspice
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • 1¾ cups of roasted pumpkin or squash puree
  • ¼ cup of Whipped cream (optional)

Gingerbread marshmallows

A delicious combination of two classic favorites: gingerbread and marshmallow! This fun, gluten-free option to the sugar-laden Halloween cookies, requires a stand mixer and a pinch of creativity! You will love them, if kids leave anything for you, that is!

  • 6¾ teaspoons unflavored gelatin
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1½ teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • 1 /3 cup of light corn syrup
  • 3 tablespoons of molasses
  • 1¾ cups of granulated sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon of kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon of cinnamon
  • 1½ teaspoons of ground ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon of ground nutmeg
  • 1 /3 teaspoon of ground cloves
  • ⅓ cup of confectioners’ sugar

Ready in: 1h 40 minutes


Jack-o’-Lantern stuffed peppers

Moving on from desserts, we give you a delicious appetizer recipe: Jack-o’-Lantern stuffed peppers. You can serve them at a Halloween-themed party with guaranteed success. Not to mention that carving the faces of the peppers is fun, easy and puts your imagination to work.

  • 1 tablespoon of canola oil
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 large minced garlic
  • 1 pound of lean ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • ¼ teaspoon of ground pepper
  • 1 cup cooked brown rice
  • 1 can of tomato sauce (salt-free)
  • 2 tablespoons of chopped parsley
  • 4 large bell peppers (preferably orange to match Halloween)
