Don’t Take These Meds Before or After Your COVID Vaccine, CDC Warns
Among the pain relievers and fever reducers that people use the most, the CDC mentioned Motrin, Advil (which contains ibuprofen) and Tylenol (which contains acetaminophen). While it’s true that OTC meds can alleviate and make your post-vaccine pain and discomfort disappear, you should not take them on your own.
The right approach is to contact your doctor and ask whether it’s safe or not to take anything after you receive your vaccine dose.
