Vaccinated People vs. the New Delta Variant
Last month, the CDC declared that in areas of the country with high COVID infection rates, even vaccinated people will have to start wearing masks indoors again. After the release of the new guidelines, which shows how many things have changed from the previous recommendations, the CDC explained the concerns about the new Delta variant, the most contagious strain so far.
To strengthen the CDC’s decision with facts, the new Delta variant is at fault for about 83 % of COVID cases in the U.S. In those states where the vaccination rate is lower (especially in the South), some hospitals are now experiencing the biggest number of patients since the pandemic started.
