According to a recent review of studies in Psychology Research and Behavior Management, COVID-19 infections have been causing hallucinations, as well as delusions and paranoia in patients with no prior record of mental health issues.
“One 55-year old woman with no known current or historical mental illness was admitted to hospital with recognized Covid-19 symptoms including fever, cough and muscle aches,” according to a Forbes report. Several days after she was discharged, she started acting strangely, acting confused and having all sorts of hallucinations, according to her husband. “She became delusional and aggressive with her family and hospital staff.”
