Toxic foods that come from China:

  • Processed mushrooms – If you love to eat mushrooms, we totally get you, as mushrooms are extremely rich in many nutrients our bodies need. Even so, if you like canned mushrooms, you should pay attention. In 2006, the news on toxic mushrooms started alarming people, when 16 diners were rushed into a hospital after eating a poisonous variety of boletus mushrooms in Beijing. They suffered nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and dizziness. But they weren’t the only ones! Many other people have suffered from food poisoning after eating mushrooms. You might be thinking, yeah but that happened in Beijing. Well, in the U.S., 34% of processed mushrooms come from China. Some are toxic mushrooms, and to make things worse, are even labeled as organic to increase sales.
  • Soy sauce – There was news circulating about soy sauce, as well. Many Chinese manufacturers have reportedly exported cheap soy sauces that were made from human hair to the U.S. and UK markets. They were also made with a chemical amino acid extraction process, that’s similar to artificially hydrolyzed soy sauces. And hold on to your chair…the amino acid syrup was made from human hair that has been gathered from salons, barbershops, and hospitals from different areas of the country. Now, in China, the production of soy sauces made from HAIR is BANNED.
  • Turbot fish – If you haven’t heard of it already, turbot fish is a very common fish imported from China. Actually, over 80% of the turbot fish in America comes from China. But it’s one of the most toxic and unhealthy fishes you could possibly eat, because China farmers use dangerous levels of pesticides, fungicides, but also banned chemicals, in order to increase their productivity. Naturally, these chemicals remain in foods long after they’ve been harvested and processed.
  • Garlic – Garlic is one of the most popular ingredients in the whole culinary spectrum. While it’s extremely healthy, the one that’s imported from China is loaded with chemicals and not so safe for consumption. That’s because the soil where the garlic is produced is known to be heavily sprayed with illegal pesticides, like phorate and parathion. These pesticides are banned by the Chinese and U.S. governments, but well, nothing can stop those Chinese manufacturers!
