10 Warning Signs Your Liver Is Not Healthy
Your palms are red
While on the subject of red flags, have your palms suddenly turned red? This could be a sign of liver damage, also known as palmar erythema. This strange condition is caused by abnormal hormone levels in the blood. The reddish color usually affects the base of the palm as well as the spots around the bottom of your thumb and little finger.
The unusual color could also appear due to nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, an umbrella term describing several liver conditions that involve too much fat being stored in liver cells. Strangely enough, this usually affects people who drink little to no alcohol.
