Enjoying fast food… too much
You might be a parent working full time while home-schooling your kids. You might feel so depressed due to COVID-19 that you don’t feel like cooking at all. You might be so bored of the current situation that you want to spice things up a bit – literally.
Either way, 2020 is filled with the perfect excuses to indulge into those savory fast-food meals.
But is it healthy? No. Does it boost your immunity in a time when you need it most? Also no; in fact, it can worsen your physical health a lot. Every type of fast food has been linked to heart disease and type 2 diabetes at some point.
Kristin Kirkpatrick, RDN and registered dietitian in Denver, explains that fast food can even have a negative impact on your mental health since it alters the hormonal balance.
