Strange COVID-19 Symptoms You Might Miss Too
Rashes, hives and lesions
A team of dermatologists in Lombardy, Italy (a heavily affected area last year) analyzed 88 patients who had tested positive for COVID-19. Surprisingly, 20% of them presented skin symptoms such as hives, red rashes or lesions similar to chickenpox.
The same symptom has been noticed in different patients around the globe.
Dr. Robert Glatter, emergency physician at the Lenox Hill Hospital in New York, explains that most people didn’t even think their skin lesions could be a COVID-19 symptom. While it’s an uncommon symptom, it should make you think twice about underlying conditions.
