Warning: THIS Happens If You Miss Your Second COVID-19 Shot
Should I still wear a face mask after one shot?
There’s still a lot of confusion as to what we can and can’t do post-vaccination.
According to the CDC, we can safely take our face masks off when meeting other vaccinated people – but only if all of us have received both doses of the vaccine.
Since a single shot doesn’t offer as much protection, it’s still recommended to take all precaution measures. Even if you do get two doses, you should wait at least 14 days from your second shot to make sure you’re over 95% inoculated.
Furthermore, there’s still that 5% likelihood that you will get infected with a mild form of COVID-19. That 5% is exactly why you should still wear a face mask and maintain social distance in public places.
Remember, even if you’d get a mild form of the disease or you’d be asymptomatic, you could transmit the virus to other vulnerable people!
