White Spots

No Half-Moons
You’ve probably noticed by now that your fingers have little rounded white curves at the base of your fingernails. Those are called fingernail moons, and it’s based on the Latin word lunula (which means “little moons”).
Most of the time, if you don’t see them, they’re probably hiding under the skin. Rarely, they can also be a sign of depression, anemia, or malnutrition.
