According to Dr. Javeed Siddiqui, chief medical officer at TeleMed2U, the release of such vaccines is ‘highly variable based on clinical efficacy and vaccine effectiveness in clinical trials.’
The possibility of gaining COVID-19 immunity so easily is exciting for many people. Unfortunately, though, we have to wait a while longer until we get access too.
Dr. Siddiqui points out that ‘nasal spray vaccine could be available as soon as 2022.’ As for the pill variants, officials still haven’t declared an approximate release date.
However, Dr. William Schaffner, infectious disease expert at Vanderbilt University, sees the trials as a sign of collaboration between scientists, government and academia.
