Your Next COVID-19 Vaccine Can Be a Pill – Here’s How It Works
Could children get vaccinated via pills too?
As you may already know, there’s no COVID-19 vaccine authorized for children yet – not even the injectable options considered safe for adults.
It would be very difficult to tell when, or if, oral vaccines or nasal spray vaccines could be administered to children and teenagers as well. However, we may be able to vaccinate our little ones through injections soon enough!
On March 31st, leading vaccine manufacturer Pfizer-BioNTech has entered the phase 3 trials of the COVID-19 vaccine for teenagers between 12-15 years old. So far, the results are extremely promising and the vaccine may offer up to 100% protection against the SARS-CoV-2 virus!
So far, none of the 2,260 participants has experienced any harmful reactions or side effects post-vaccination.
