7 Banned Foods Our Country Should STOP Eating Now
#7: BHT and BHA
Butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) and butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA) are antioxidants artificially made to enhance and preserve certain foods. They’re most commonly encountered in cereals, dry mixes and even dehydrated potato products.
Unfortunately, research proved that both of these products can increase your long-term risk of cancer; some studies also found that they can be endocrine disruptors as they alter your hormonal balance.
BHA and BHT are banned in the UK, Japan, European Union and other countries.
