Attention! The following treatments are only for informational purposes. They may or may not treat hemorrhoids depending on the gravity and cause of the condition. The best decision is to always seek medical evaluation before following a certain treatment.

As I promised at the beginning of the post, it’s time to have a look at the most common treatments that might cure hemorrhoids:

  • Fiber supplements. If you suspect your diet doesn’t include enough fiber, getting a supplement rich in this nutrient can make a big difference in your bowel movements.
  • Warm baths. Harvard Health recommends taking a 20-minute sitz bath after every bowel movement, if possible. This helps to reduce the pain and soothes swollen rectum veins. You can also add Epsom salts to emphasize the positive effects.
  • Aloe vera. This wonder natural remedy can do wonder for plenty of conditions, hemorrhoids included. Applying aloe vera gel (pure only!) in the hemorrhoids area may reduce inflammation and pain.
  • Cold compresses. Applying cold compresses on an irritated anus is pleasant, to say the least, but doing so 15 minutes at a time every day can reduce inflammation. If you’re having large, very painful hemorrhoids, this method can make a huge difference.
