Don’t Take These Meds Before or After Your COVID Vaccine, CDC Warns

OTC medications should also be avoided before vaccination

According to the CDC, you can take OTC meds post-vaccination only if your doctor says it’s ok to do so. On the other hand, when it comes to things you cannot do before you get your vaccine, the CDC clearly states that it is “not recommended you take these medicines before vaccination for the purpose of trying to prevent side effects.” That’s because the meds might interfere with your body’s response to the vaccine.
