Blood Clots After COVID Vaccine? This Is Who Is More Likely To Get Them

Most states have followed the CDC’s recommendation to pause the use of the J&J vaccine. If you have already received the shot, it’s important to know what symptoms and reactions you should be on the lookout for, so as to seek medical care immediately, if needed.

According to the CDC, the most important symptoms of the two main types of dangerous blood clotting (deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism) include:

For deep vein thrombosis:

  • swelling
  • pain
  • tenderness
  • redness of the skin in the area where the clot is located (arm, leg, or stomach) when it comes to deep vein thrombosis.
