According to Mental Health America, around 56 percent of Americans suffer from panic attacks without receiving any treatment for their condition. Left untreated, panic attacks and extreme stress can have severe consequences for one’s mental wellbeing but also physical consequences, as panic attacks can often indicate serious heart issues.
“Although chest pain and a tightening sensation are the common and obvious symptoms of coronary artery disease, there can be less obvious symptoms,” explains Carolyn Dean, MD, a heart health specialist and author of The Magnesium Miracle.
