Health experts and researchers point out that post-acute COVID syndrome can affect various body functions and systems, among which the cardiovascular system. One of the most common signs that your cardiovascular health has been compromised by post-acute COVID syndrome is chest pain.

According to the CDC, 16 percent of long-haulers experienced chest pain and discomfort. If you experience sudden, acute chest pains, also called pleurisy, it might be because your lung walls have become inflamed. This might indicate pneumonia or other types of infections.
