Almost every large trial performed so far on patients who had the Pfizer vaccine administered proved that it’s 95% effective. However, some research performed on the Oxford AstraZeneca vaccine indicated that it’s only 62% effective.
However, comparing these trials would be simply unfair because they had been carried out very differently. Furthermore, many recent studies such as this one proved that patients had an immunity of 82% after taking the second dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine.
This vaccine is no riskier than its alternatives and no one ended up in hospital or needed special treatment after administration, nor have they got severely sick from contacting COVID-19. Furthermore, regardless of the vaccine immunity rate, any immunity is better than zero – or that’s what specialists believe.
