Stay Safe during Covid19 Quarantine! We Made a Guide for You

Communicate with your family and friends every day, learn how to use technology!

Take breaks from news stories as hearing about the pandemic repeatedly can be upsetting. It’s important for you to stay connected during this quarantine, as well as talk to your family or to others who are in similar situations. Apps can help you do that:

  • Quarantine Chat, a free digital voice service created to help connect people across the world, may be able to help. You can talk on the phone with someone else stuck at home, chatting about anything: what you’re cooking for dinner,  your daily activities, your fears and your dreams.
  • WhatsApp or Skype for messaging or even video calls, for chatting with family, for having a virtual lunch or coffee date with your friends,
  • Social media apps like Facebook or Tapestry, that can keep you connected to family, certain groups or news. Tapestry is like Facebook for seniors who don’t want to join Facebook, it allows you to share messages, photos and videos with your families in a spam-free, ad-free online environment.
  • MedWatcher is a handy mobile reminder that will help you to schedule medication and exercises. The app also gives access to drug descriptions, medical uses, and known side effects.
  • Words with Friends – a free game app that allows you to keep your mind active and to play with your friends no matter where they live

You can access them on your smartphone but a Tablet might be more useful.

Medication and Dietary Supplements

If you rely on prescription medications, you should keep approximately a 30-day supply on hand. Also, maintain a first-aid kit with supplies to treat common injuries.
