Some received the COVID vaccine from Pfizer, others from Moderna, or Johnson & Johnson, but regardless of its type, a booster shot will probably be needed within six months to 12 months from getting the second dose.
Moderna’s booster is undergoing clinical trials to determine its effectiveness against new COVID-19 variants, with the company representatives estimating that the booster shots will be finalized by the end of 2021. Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla also confirmed that a third dose will be needed “somewhere between six and 12 months, and from there it would be an annual re-vaccination.”
