Is The COVID Vaccine Working If I Have No Side Effects?

Side effects show your immune system work

The tactical approach of vaccines is to introduce your immune system to a virus or infection and teach it to recognize and protect itself from future virus attacks. The vaccines developed by Pfizer and Moderna are based on mRNA technology which uses the “blueprint” of the viral spike protein found on the surface of the coronavirus to induce an immune response.

The mRNA technology does not use the live virus that causes COVID-19 infection, so there shouldn’t be any concerns that you can get infected by the vaccine. What you need to understand is that the vaccine is just helping your cells create antibodies for COVID-19 so that you can have protection should you encounter an infected person at some point in the future.
