7 Foods That Pack Way More Potassium Than a Banana

Prunes

Prunes are dried plums packed with fiber and potassium, with a ½ cup of prunes providing 637 milligrams of this essential electrolyte, almost 14% of the daily recommended amount.

With prunes being so rich in fiber, they can help you regulate your bowels and your bladder. They are great in combination with nuts, cheese and yogurt. The only downside to adding prunes to your diet is that they are quite high in sugar, with 30 grams per ½ cup, so pay attention to how many you’re eating if you want to stick to your calorie limit.
