The Potus Diet: 17 U.S. Presidents and Their All-Time Favorite Foods

Ronald Reagan – Jelly beans

The food that most historians claim was one of Ronald Reagan’s favorites is in fact some sort of snack: jelly beans. His unusual liking for this colorful snack reportedly started when tried to give up pipe smoking during the elections for governor of California in 1966. Reagan became so obsessed with the tiny treats that it is said that he once ordered more than 300,000 so that the Capitol, White House, and other federal buildings be stocked properly.

His favorite flavor was apparently licorice, according to information from the Reagan Library.
