George H.W. Bush strongly disliked broccoli, as explained by the president himself in a 1990 report in the Los Angeles Times. “I do not like broccoli and I haven’t liked it since I was a little kid and my mother made me eat it, and I’m President of the United States and I’m not going to eat any more broccoli”.
He did like, however, pork rinds topped with Tabasco and popcorn, which he consumed every chance he got. His love for pork rinds even caused the sales of this snack to go through the roof at some point during his campaign trail.
No other president in modern times has professed his love for burgers more publicly and ardently than Bill Clinton. Eating burgers turned into a pop culture phenomenon when a sketch in which Clinton stops jogging to grab a burger was shown on “Saturday Night Live”. Cinnamon rolls and pies were also on his “favorite foods” list.
Unfortunately, Clinton had to give up eating his all-time favorite food and switch to vegan cuisine, after his coronary bypass in 2004 and emergency surgery in 2010. During his wife’s 2016 presidential campaign, Bill Clinton said that he enjoyed chili enchiladas with meat substitute.
