Not Eating Enough Fruit and Veggies? You Might Regret It

You could gain weight

Most fruits and vegetables are low in calories and in energy density. This means you can enjoy them more, feel satiated and still keep the calorie intake in check.

When high-calorie, high-fat foods replace the fruits and veggies you should normally eat every day, you not only start feeling hungry pretty soon after you’ve eaten but you also end up overeating.

What’s more, you feel the need to consume high energy density foods, which means more calories per gram. The result? More unwanted pounds and a whole new host of problems. Which brings us to our next section.
