  • Study 1: There’s a study made by Public Health England, that shows how the two doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine is 88 % effective against symptomatic versions of the disease and 96 % effective against cases of hospitalization with this variant. The same study concluded that approximately 80 % of vaccinated people haven’t been infected with the new Delta Variant. Scientists tested 14,019 infected people, where 166 were hospitalized in England.

In addition, Public Health England shared some data that is highlighting the importance of having a second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Apparently, having only one dose offers only 33 % protection against symptomatic disease.
