This year, the mosquito population in Chicago exploded due to a particularly wet summer, after a dry spring. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, mosquitos bite both during the day and night, searching for warm places when the temperatures are dropping.
In order to protect yourself and your family from mosquito bites, use insect repellent and wear long-sleeved shirts and pants. Plus, you can use the air conditioning or window to keep mosquitos outside. According to Orkin pest control, Chicago ranked nr. 5 on the list of cities with the most mosquitos. The viruses they transmit can affect humans, but also animals.
