According to Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla, you might have to get your shot on a regular basis, probably year to year.
During an interview with NBC News, Bourla talked about the trials for the development of a third dose of the Pfizer vaccine to increase its efficiency against the mutated variants of the initial virus, including the South African variant which is around 50 percent more infectious than the earlier variants. He explained that it’s normal for viruses to mutate, which is why people need regular shots.
