Some safety measures are relaxed too soon, Fauci fears
Despite the speed at which vaccinations have been taking place in the United States in these past weeks, Dr. Fauci expressed his concerns about certain developments that could fuel another spike in coronavirus cases.
During an interview with CNN, the infectious disease expert urged people to still take precautionary measures and avoid declaring a premature victory which could threaten the progress made so far. “We see so many pulling back on some of the public health measures, the mask mandates, the restaurant opening, the bars, we can’t be doing that,” Fauci said.
