Anemia is a blood disorder that occurs when your system doesn’t produce enough red cells to ensure the transport of oxygen through your body, as explained by the American Society of Hematology (ASH). This causes irregular blood flow to your limbs, causing your hands and feet, in particular, to feel colder, according to Neha Vyas, M.D., a family physician at the Cleveland Clinic.

  • Paleness
  • Irregular heartbeats
