The team of researchers who conducted this study from Stanford Medicine has recently reviewed 116 records of COVID-19 patients.
Surprisingly enough, they discovered that one-third of these randomly chosen patients experience digestive symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite or diarrhea.
We had already known that the virus can sometimes cause diarrhea; however, it was only recently that scientists found just how much COVID-19 can actually affect digestive functions.
Sure, it may be just a regular case of indigestion, but it’s always a good idea to take the possibility of a COVID-19 infection into consideration too.
