10 Fast-Food Items That Even Fast-Food Employees Wouldn't Eat 1

Say no to the fish sandwich

Fish or other seafood are important sources of many vitamins and minerals. Fish is high in protein and low in fat, providing a range of health benefits. But not when served in fast-food restaurants. For example, the Filet-O-Fish is one of the unhealthiest items on McDonald’s menu, warned Charity, who worked at a McDonald’s restaurant in North Carolina.

Seafood is no different. According to a former Panera and McDonalds employee, “there’s no way it’s fresh, and even if you’re aware of that, it has also been sitting around for a while. Go with something on the menu that you know people are ordering all the time.” More than that, if seafood is not cooked properly, it can carry two dangerous flesh-eating bacteria called Norovirus and Vibrio. You don’t want that in your body, trust me!

Avoid the bottled ketchup on the table

Fast-food employees all agree that condiments, particularly bottled ketchup, should definitely be included on the “MUST NOT EAT” list of food items. That’s because ketchup bottles are usually left on the table for ages, sometimes exposed to high temperatures, causing the ketchup to go sour and yeast-like. If a ketchup bottle seems bloated, the content has probably fermented.

More than that, the half-empty ketchup glasses or bottles are paired together and the content of one recipient is poured into another one, to create a fully filled bottle. Just think about how long the stuff at the bottom of the bottle has been there!
