Top 10 Mosquito-Infested Cities in the U.S. (Are You in One of Them?)
Atlanta, GeorgiaÂ
The former queen of mosquitos-infested cities has still major issues with these insects. Last year, mosquitos invaded Georgia, because of the frequent rainfall during the late summer season. Elmer Gray, a University of Georgia Cooperative Extension entomologist, says that mosquito populations are particularly high due to the prevalence of standing water sources in the residential areas of northern Georgia.
As data is showing, residents in the urban and suburban areas of north Georgia are not so cautious as southern Georgians, when it comes to removing standing water from their property. This may happen because they believe that mosquitos are only a serious public health threat in the hotter southern region of the state.
Getting insect repellent would be a capital idea next…..
