Tom Hanks and His Wife Tested Positive for Coronavirus!
Coronavirus and Hollywood Industry
Academy Award-winning actor Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson have tested positive for the coronavirus, as the actor himself revealed on Wednesday. The couple, both 63 years old, was in Australia, where Hanks was set to film for the pre-production of Buz Luhrmann’s currently untitled movie about Elvis Presley’s life.
Tom Hanks revealed that he and his wife have been diagnosed with Coronavirus on social media accounts, including Instagram and Twitter.
“Hello, folks. Rita and I are down here in Australia,” he wrote. “We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches. Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers too. To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the Coronavirus, and were found to be positive.”
“Well, now. What to do next? The Medical Officials have protocols that must be followed. We Hanks’ will be tested, observed, and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires. Not much more to it than a one-day-at-a-time approach, no?”.
Tom Hanks is undoubtedly one of the most prominent figures in the entertainment world to reveal he has the virus, involuntarily joining the other 126,519 COVID-19 infected people worldwide.
Meantime, travel from Europe to the U.S. has been suspended for 30 days, the NBA informed it was suspending its season after a player was tested positive and more and more companies are telling their employees to work from home.
